Happy Bloody Christmas America

Eighteen children under ten and ten adults said to have died in Connecticut school.

Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is the right to keep and to bear arms.

Right, or is it?  How bloody sad for the parents of these children, and the families of  their teachers who were slaughtered.

I doubt very much that the citizens of the United States would want any restrictions to their right to bear arms but is there any way these killings can be prevented?

My Birthday was marked by a visit to Waddesdon Manor – our astonishing local Renaissance-style château… which is about half an hour from us, just out of Oxfordshire and into Buckinghamshire, UK (not in deepest France as you may guess just looking at it)….

Supper’s in the freezer, Mrs Spider

I’ve been at work today, between two surgeries and various patient’s homes, and all day I have been in wonder of the winter whiteness of the world. A foggy frosty night had left the trees, hedges, grass – everything covered in crystals of ice. Twice (only twice… so I had to leave a lot of photo opportunities un-snapped. What restraint!) I stopped at a destination and took my camera out.

Photo Op. Anyone?

A quick gander at my trusty H. Samuel Everight Watch (copyright Radio Luxemburg, 1960) tells me that there are only (6) SIX days left to enter the 35th  Photo Competition, the theme and post to which you should reference your entry is here.

Only My Opinion

I’ve been hoping that someone else would post on the ‘Great Australian Media Hoax’. But since no one has – I’m going to stick my neck out …

As I am sure most here are aware – two young Australian radio presenters phoned the King Edward VII hospital pretending to be the Queen and Prince Charles. The call was put through. The nurse who put the call through has, allegedly, committed suicide and the two young people have been accused of causing that death. Continue reading “Only My Opinion”
