Happy Bloody Christmas America
Eighteen children under ten and ten adults said to have died in Connecticut school.
Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is the right to keep and to bear arms.
Right, or is it? How bloody sad for the parents of these children, and the families of their teachers who were slaughtered.
I doubt very much that the citizens of the United States would want any restrictions to their right to bear arms but is there any way these killings can be prevented?
Interlude

Brassica oleracea by any other name

Eheu, eheu, my little tiny sprout
Left on your frozen stalk
They’ve made the meal and left you out
Far from a festive fork
Event of the year, for photo competition
My Birthday was marked by a visit to Waddesdon Manor – our astonishing local Renaissance-style château… which is about half an hour from us, just out of Oxfordshire and into Buckinghamshire, UK (not in deepest France as you may guess just looking at it)….
Supper’s in the freezer, Mrs Spider
I’ve been at work today, between two surgeries and various patient’s homes, and all day I have been in wonder of the winter whiteness of the world. A foggy frosty night had left the trees, hedges, grass – everything covered in crystals of ice. Twice (only twice… so I had to leave a lot of photo opportunities un-snapped. What restraint!) I stopped at a destination and took my camera out.
The first time was because of the hedges, swathed in cob-webs
Frosted gossamer

Jack Frost came this morning
Very hard getting these in minus 4 and using a macro lens with no tripod.
They have altered the upload, couldn’t see how to make it one with a gap? So scroll down
Wanted: culinary carols
The weather is still so horrid
The kinda weather to make potes florid
But do versifiers rave about stew?

Photo Op. Anyone?
A quick gander at my trusty H. Samuel Everight Watch (copyright Radio Luxemburg, 1960) tells me that there are only (6) SIX days left to enter the 35th Photo Competition, the theme and post to which you should reference your entry is here.
For what I trust will be a limited time only the VERY next entry (and only that one) will also have the added honour of being the FIRST.
Thank you for your attention.

Only My Opinion
I’ve been hoping that someone else would post on the ‘Great Australian Media Hoax’. But since no one has – I’m going to stick my neck out …
As I am sure most here are aware – two young Australian radio presenters phoned the King Edward VII hospital pretending to be the Queen and Prince Charles. The call was put through. The nurse who put the call through has, allegedly, committed suicide and the two young people have been accused of causing that death. Continue reading “Only My Opinion”
