This is freakin’ outrageous!

Telegraph Article.

It is written in the article that wearing the cross is not a requirement of the christian faith, unlike the muslim headscarf, which, as we all know, is also not a requirement of the faith.

This is an example of out-and-out discrimination.

Yes, I know, I don’t care a hoot about any form of organised superstition, but I do defend freedom of expression to the bitter end and, I am especially [passionate about one law for all. (Which is why I obey the stupid smoking discrimination laws, apart from being the considerate person that I am.)

(And yes, there is a difference between public and private freedom of expression, jut like the B&B lady and the queers.)

Bye bye Araminta!

They are hopeless

Backing up your peerless prose
In case of what? God only knows.
You may not last another minute
So save it or just go and bin it.

If you value what you’ve writ,
Deletion may just hurt a bit
So what’s the point in running scared
Just write or else you won’t be heard

Does it matter; I think not;
Some of us don’t care a jot.
It’s had its day and now I fear
It’s just about to disappear.

Gone without a trace!

I’m also in trouble because I forgot to attribute this pome to Dear Ethel, who wrote it about a year ago!  Obviously things have not improved!

Passage to Singapore

Moving on, the re-arranged fixture was due to take place this weekend. The Gods of snow did their best to scupper the whole event yet again but we triumphed over them.  We are just back from a magic weekend with sister, nephew, nieces and offspring, made even more magic by said snow.  I will blog/post about all that in due time but I am sitting here in Embra tonight just thinking one thought.
