Here’s a video by a muslim

Well worth watching. Don’t worry, no more posts on islam from me after this, I’ve said my piece in the comments on my posts. Here’s a quote from one of Dr Jasser’s blogs:

To lay it out in no uncertain terms, Political Islam has one goal, the dominance of the Islamist version of Islam over every aspect of life. Their belief in a theocratic form of government that stifles individual liberty is at complete odds with every principle that built America.

I’m off to bed.

Robin Hood

Like Sherlock Holmes, Robin Hood is one of those enduring heroes driven by a sense of justice and a dedication to righting injustice in our world, a world that seems to work with an occult sense of balance. However the universe works, it’s not the one we would have chosen—at least in terms of fairness—a condition that has led to endless questioning about good and evil. Likewise, Robin Hood keeps swinging on to the stage.

Unlike Holmes, Robin Hood’s actions are not mediated by complex thought and deduction. His philosophy is simply stated and enforced. He steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Given that the rich seem to be having a grand old time recently stealing from the middle class if not the poor, it’s not surprising that the green-clad archer is appearing at your local theater.

Some pictures of a private garden owned by Surry City Council.  Sorry, Surrey Vancouver! Last weekend our garden club went on one of our organised trips to Canada for a docent led tour of this garden in the Fraser valley which is not open to the public, a very warm spot.  Pity the docent didn’t know her stuff, not very knowledgeable about the species, poor lady just her luck to pull a garden club rather than any old disparate bunch!  A lovely day, an excellent lunch and a walk around an arboretum in the afternoon and no aggravation at the border.  The border guards always seem to have real trouble with the fact that people actually go across International borders to see gardens, seem incapable of actually getting their heads round it conceptually and asking stupid questions like why!

Morons.

Barbeque anyone?

I didn’t go into the supermarket on the way home from work, but heard several people discussing their first barbecue of the Summer. Maybe, just maybe I’ll think about putting one on tomorrow.

Any favourite recipes for marinating / barbecuing ?

Any barbecue quotations?
