Have I missed something?
I don’t do anodyne, nor politically correct…do I have to head for the door?

In view of the recent changes should I post a knitting pattern or three ?
I could start on my next Monty Mouse episode instead, if you think it will help! (Smiley Thing)
I wonder who came up with the idea that Sunday isn’t Sunday without a full roast for lunch.
It’s Sunday! Day of rest! So let’s spend half of it preparing a huge meal that we don’t really need, and the other half dealing with the unholy amount of washing up that such a meal generates.
Let’s. Not.
Spousal unit does the roast, and then floops about in ostentatious exhaustion. That effing roast would need way more trimmings to match up to the twenty other meals I cook during the week, mate.

Subject: dentists
The dentist pulls out a numbing needle to give the man a shot.
“No way. No needles. I hate needles.” the patient says.
The dentist starts to hook up the nitrous oxide and the man objects.
“I can’t do the gas thing. The thought of having the gas mask on is suffocating me.”
The dentist then asks the patient if he has any objection to taking a pill.
“No objection,” the patient says, “I’m fine with pills.”
The dentist then hands him a pill and a glass of water and says, “Here’s a Viagra.”
The patient says, “Wow, I didn’t know Viagra worked as a pain killer.”
“It doesn’t,” said the dentist, “but it’s going to give you something to hold on to when I pull your tooth.”

International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell who is to give 19 million hard-earned taxpayers pounds to UNRWA.
The UNRWA was founded in 1949 to deal with the refugee crisis caused by the invasion of the new State of Israel by five Arab armies. 61 years and billions upon billions of pounds later, it has demonstrably failed. The Arab refugees of Palestine have been kept in misery by the neglect of the states in the region, the intransigence of Arab States in refusing to recognise the State of Israel and the pouring of billions of pounds into armed attacks on that State, instead of into the provision of basic necessities for refugees and the means for them to remedy their own misfortunes by their own efforts. I present the example of Cyprus, a small country burdened with a huge refugee problem by an Invasion by a foreign Country in 1974. Find a refugee camp in Cyprus. Find refugees from Famagusta or other areas occupied by Turkey still living in squalor and poverty. Hint. You can’t.
Another 19 million pounds of British tax-payers’ cash flushed down the toilet.
Landed back in the UK last Saturday and stayed overnight with friends in Leeds.
On the morn, tooled off to the nearest Tesco to fuel up for the drive North. Nipped into said Tesco to buy a pint of milk.
Now, I had not realised this before, but there is, apparently, some sort of football competition about to start somewhere. It would seem that England are playing in it. Wall to wall flags of St George everywhere.
Goodnight all.
It is worth remembering that on 6th June 1940 the main evacuation from Dunkirk of the BEF had finished two days earlier, with the bulk of their equipment being left on the beaches behind them. On D-Day, 6th June 1944, only 4 years later, the Allies landed around 156,000 troops in Normandy. (American forces – 73,000.) on 6th June 1940 Ninety-five per cent of these soldiers had been civilians with no military training, experience or even any great desire to be soldiers.
