Words fail me…
Couldn’t get away with it these days!
Version 2 after yesterday’s failure – I’ve re-read the manual!
An old chum emailed me these old adverts recently – I thought as there may be a few…..ahem….older charioteers who may remember some of them…. 😀
Enjoy! Continue reading “Couldn’t get away with it these days!”
Cuprum, you ain’t seen nothing yet!
Frozen Crabs & the Blonde Stewardess
A lawyer boarded an airplane in New Orleans with a box of frozen crabs and asked a blonde stewardess to take care of them for him.
She took the box and promised to put it in the crew’s refrigerator.  He advised her that he was holding her personally responsible for them staying frozen, mentioning in a very haughty manner that he was a lawyer, and proceeded to rant at her about what would happen if she let them thaw out.
Needless to say, she was annoyed by his behavior.
Shortly before landing in New York , she used the intercom to announce to the entire cabin, “Would the lawyer who gave me the crabs in New Orleans , please raise your hand.”   Not one hand went up ….  so she took them home and ate them.
Two lessons here:
- Lawyers aren’t as smart as they think they are.
- Â Blondes aren’t as dumb as most folk think.
Bad joke alert
Normally I leave these to Zen 😉 , but I saw this yesterday and couldn’t help but chuckle 😀

Pseudery at its most pompous
Not you, Pseu, honest! Â Just listen to this ass (that is a British, not an American one) describing the greatness of his work as a voice-over artist.
How not to unload a container

I couldn’t believe my eyes this afternoon, there I was, driving down a rather busy main road in one of our industrial areas and saw this, a perfect example of how not to unload a container.
Had to do a u-turn and get a side on image for my fellow cherished colleagues.. Continue reading “How not to unload a container”
What the…?
I am staying with my son and No 2 daughter at Imperial Wharf in Fulham. Â The London Overground station is very handy, and the company has kindly provided a taxi rank no more than 100 yards or so from the station, at the most convenient point for traffic.
