  1. G’day

Well I am enjoying his work whether in this persona of Daniel Smeeth, or as Terence Plato. Thanks for introducing me to his comedy, FEEG. He seems to me to have a similar sense of humour to the late joe slavko and I will watch his future career with interest.

  2. I fear our cherished colleague has gone troppo, OZ.
It’s probably the effect of too much heat, too many open spaces and watching the Maroons take out the State of Origin. Strewth, a Jock bidding us “G’day” – he’ll be into Toohey’s New next. 😀

  3. Bearsy, is it just me….or does your comment contain a box with a red cross in the top left-hand corner? 🙂

  4. JM, I’m worried about you in Upside-downland. You’ll be telling us next that you’re rushing off somewhere or other. Come home, all is forgiven 🙂

  5. Erm….is this not a spoof and an example of an attempt at humour? Not my cup of tea I will admit and I’ve never heard of him but I’m guessing JM and FEEG can enlighten us?

I must admit I am not sure if the guy is genuine or not, but I have met one or two people in my life who have been as stupid as he appears to be.

  7. I thought that it was funny, if you go to the youtube page it is obvious that this is this guys attempt at humour, not brilliant, I certainly wouldn’t buy it but I thought it funny nevertheless!
    😉

  8. If it is a spoof then it’s quite amusing. However, I was heavily involved in writing and producing three radio ads for my company some time ago and although each was thirty seconds duration it took two days in the studio to get them right. I had to let one ‘artist’ go, in the nicest possible way, full days pay for a few hours work because he used the same voice in each ad, the two remaning artists were brilliant. We did re-writes on the hoof and that is the bonus of working with professionals, they just do it. If the guy in the clip is for real then he will starve to death.

    Fine that, Bearsy

Just about managing to cope with the heat – a balmy 4 degrees Centigrade as I type. Not seen any open spaces yet. Most of the countryside has been like a slightly less green Scotland so far but it’s Bundaberg tomorrow and apparently that’s mulga from Gympie up.

I admit to getting a bit excited during the Origins game but it was a really exciting match and the right team won. This is not a common experience for a Jock.

As regards your native beers, I have only been here for ten days so have obviously only had limited opportunity to taste them. If pushed, I would say that Toohey’s New is OK and better than Toohey’s Dry or XXXX but not as good as James Boag. The Stone & Wood local brews in Byron Bay were interesting. At the moment, I am drinking Cascade Premium Lager which is quite pleasant.

In re FEEG’s post, I had a look at some of the guy’s other offerings. It is clear to me that he is spoofing and, in my opinion, quite funny. I could, as ever, be wrong.

Whatever. The important thing is that Mrs M managed to blag us into the Gabba today, including the boardroom. I am one happy camper.

  10. Sounds good, JM. Glad you’re enjoying yourselves.
Cascade is my regular favourite, when I allow myself the odd glass. 🙂
