By mistake

They met at the singles club meeting and discovered over time that they enjoyed each other’s company.
After several weeks of meeting for coffee, Claude asked Maude out for dinner and, much to his delight, she accepted. They had a lovely evening. They dined at the most romantic restaurant in town.
Despite his age, they ended at his place for an after-dinner drink. Things continued along a natural course and age being no inhibitor, Maude soon joined Claude for a most enjoyable roll in the hay.
As they were basking in the glow of the magic moments they’d shared, each was lost for a time in their own thoughts…..

Claude was thinking: ‘If I’d known she was still a virgin, I’d have been gentler.’

Maude was thinking: ‘If I’d known he could still do it, I’d have taken my tights off ‘

16th Photo Competition

First of all, thanks all for the kind comments. To tell the truth, the pic of the shadow of the tree on the church was an ‘accidental’ shot. You all know me and buildings 🙂 I was shooting pics of the church and discarded this one from the ‘church’ shots because the shadow of the tree distracts a little from the image of the church I was trying to get. I kept it because, despite not being a shot of the church I liked, I did like the actual composition, and when the subject of the competition came along…

I like dogs. I don’t have one of my own because I travel so much and usually live in flats – I don’t think that flats are the right environment or dogs, they need space. That’s why I have a cat, pop her in her travel bag and she goes anywhere. Mind, I do like cats too. You don’t own a cat in the same way that you can own a dog, they’re much too bloody-minded and independent. I always call my cat my owner because that’s how, I’m sure, she sees me 😀

So, the subject of the next competition is ‘Cat!’ (Note the exclamation mark 🙂 )

A quick one for Val.

Just a thought Val, you mentioned the other day about a change of phone. Mrs Toc’s nephew changes his every year and always after much research. His main aim is always towards the camera element on it. The other week he showed me his latest. Very impressive it was too.

As you know, I’m an Apple fan but the weak point of the phone has always been the camera facility. So, if you are serious, have a look at this one.

The results it produces are indeed fantastic!

An inspired tree, imo, which I’ve privately named ‘The Weeping Tree”.  Shame there were so many people, as I would have loved to see the whole sculpture.  Does it  ‘chime’ on a windy day, Rick?

Soutie: ‘Beach’ trees

Nice title, Soutie, and a fun take on the theme. This would raise a smile from me at first sighting, but I’m not sure I’d appreciate it as a permanent fixture!  (Thanks for the non-entry coral tree; very nice 🙂 ).

Language!

A Priest was about to finish his tour of duty, and was leaving his Mission in the jungle where he has spent years teaching the natives when he realizes that the one thing he never taught them was how to speak English.

So he takes the chief for a walk in the forest.

He points to a tree and says to the chief, ‘This is a tree.’ The chief looks at the tree and grunts, ‘Tree.’

Just over a year ago.

I was sitting in the Cafe Caprice in Camps Bay Cape town sinking a few beers, watching the sun go down with Sipu, who, at the drop of a hat drove over the mountain to chat with someone whom he had only ever met on line. It was great fun and he was an interesting companion. Our time together was all too short. We should have more beers and more chat. He was driving though.
