Saturday Comedy Club
Evening all
We all receive joke e-mails, they vary from awful to worse than awful, I don’t care, DO NOT PROCEED UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE FUN Continue reading “Saturday Comedy Club”
On Profundity.
A blogger claims to ask ‘profound,’ questions. A blogger whose profundity of insight is expressed by shouting the admission that ‘I KNOW YOU DIDN”T SAY THAT,’ and then going on to argue as if it has been said. A blogger who makes sly accusations – like falsifying reference material – and then, when shown to be wrong, wriggles and twists through so many contortions of argument trying to show that what was wrong, was, in fact, right that many wonder that he doesn’t disappear up his own, erm, South-facing orifice. What?
4987-Northwest Passage
Wuhan is a city full of windy streets, lakes and hills. The city skipped the development boom of the first part of the millennium because, well, no one is quite sure why. Local websites are full of people asking what exactly the local government has been doing for the last ten years. It’s only now they are following the example of every other major city in the country and throwing up high rises that no-one will live in and highways that go nowhere useful.

Heroes
Taking inspiration from Boa with her ‘on this day‘ series I have a for a while been contemplating doing a ‘hero‘ series. The way this works is every so often I would put together a post relating to a personal hero of mine. The choices may well surprise some of you, the chosen ones will reflect varying lifestyles, ideoligies etc. Some of the choices will be political, some will be from the world of sports, music, film, education etc …. some will prove controversial whilst others may well find strong support.
As many of you will be aware I have always gone to great pains at not commenting over weekends, that time is sacred …. family and friends time and initially I had intended to wait till Monday to post this, however today saw the loss of a hero of mine thus it was fitting I not wait till Monday but pay tribute to him today.

Mission Complete! Well Done and Thank You Everyone!
And the excitment grows….
Today is the day that the ‘pool from hell’ arrives. The children are so excited-they have been up since rediculously early in anticipation and they keep asking me to track it, but I can’t give them any more information than I did originally, that it left Bodmin at 9.30 this morning and shall be here shortly…….grrr kids huh!

All of Talwyn’s friends are rallying around, because I have decreed that if they don’t help they are not going to be able to use it (a slight over exageration, but may as well get all of the free manual labour that we can!). The bottom garden has been cleared of everything, no mean task I can tell you and we are all ready to go-well, rather they are, I am site supervisor for the day, I do not want to get involved with it, oh and the sun is shinning.
Kiss with a Fist
I’ve been listening to Florence and the Machine’s CD in the car a lot … it’s quite dark but very good indeed.
What could be better than two-minute, three-chord rock & roll? (OK, one-minute, three-chord rock & roll, but Dylan’s ‘Jet Pilot’ isn’t available.)
