I suppose I shouldn’t say who sat and watched it all the way through, who, like me knew every hymn, and was pleased to note that at least some part of it was in ‘Proper’ English? No I’m not going to say who …. 🙂
Great Pageantry and excellent organisation. And to those who begrudged a few pounds on the event – it was wonderful to see so many Brits being – well British.

Kate woke with the blackbirds, very early on the morning before the big day, with a headache. She had been feeling lousy with the remnants of a head cold pressing into her sinuses and the day before had dealt with several nosebleeds. But this headache was more than the result of sinusitis. She felt a great tension in her shoulders and along her spine. As she stood on the scales in the bathroom and tried to look down she felt the tightness in her spinal chord from her neck down to her waist. I left some Caribbean beach between my toes for the flight, the sea in my hair for two days and the Virgin holidays luggage label is still on the rucksack.
