Some Guy giving it laldy

The republicans were having a party
With cake ‘n things like that
They were drunk on the black stuff
And making jokes about Mick and Pat

Goodwill to all men and terrorists
Was toasted round the fireside
Tourettes Tony said “I don’t give a Farc!”
Before he was thrown outside Continue reading “Some Guy giving it laldy”

It’s so lonely

I commented at 7.57 and dropped in this evening to discover that eleven hours have passed – with no further comments at all.

LW has posted an ad for his pome comp but otherwise I am all alone –  with only Backside for company.

If you have something to tell me, whether it concerns my person or my politics, just do it.  A single voice will cheer me up disproportionately.

Guy Fawkes Innocent – New Evidence

Government records disclosed after a  four hundred year embargo prove that Fawkes was innocent of any wrongdoing.  He was in the cellars conducting an audit of tally sticks which showed that members of parliament had been abusing their prerequisites.

Just a quick reminder to all budding photographers

Having just got back from a trip to see son and daughter-in-law in the good ol’ US of A for Thanksgiving celebrations, courtesy of Tricky Dicky’s nice new Airbuses, I would just like to remind you that December the 1st is rapidly approaching.

This means the deadline of the latest photo comp is coming up. There are already some really good ones, but don’t let that stop you from submitting your masterpiece!

“A totally impertinent question”

Quoth Lord Patten of Barnes, CH, PC, yada yada, today when questioned by a Commons Select Committee about his daily duties as Chairman of the BBC Trust. Now I have to admit that I’d be a little miffed in the present climate of expenses abuses and second home flipping with a MP taking a holier-than-thou attitude, but I worked in the private sector all my life and Patten has had his snout in the public purse himself since day one and has never, as far as I can ascertain, ever generated any wealth for anything apart from Chris PLC.

Listen, Tubby, maybe the question came from an unfortunate source, but your response was absolutely bang out of order – a bit like B grade ‘celeb’ Liz Hurley referring once to “civilians”, i.e. us, the taxpaying  general public. We pay your salary, Chris, baby, and we have a right to know how it is spent, so get over yourself.

Oh, Celtic, my fur’s gone all frizzy again.

Canada growing some balls!

Curious bit of news overnight on the radio.  Didn’t hear it all, but what I heard went thus-

Some Somalian refugee, or at least his parents were refugees who washed up in Edmonton I believe, who was born in Canada, is to be deported!  Evidently he was a criminal, done time for a nasty violent crime and when released had his nationality revoked and is to be returned to Somalia.  Evidently he has never been there and is not fluent, or so his parents say.  Evidently he is on the run at the moment from the authorities who are intent on removing him back to said Somalia!

Quite extraordinary considering how bleeding heart liberal PC the bloody place has been for years.  Now it seems the worm turns with a vengeance, they are evidently sick to the back teeth of immigrant wogs committing crimes out of all proportion to their numbers in the country.  Remind you of anywhere else?

Great pity the UK does not take a leaf out of the same book!  Why are we constantly beset by ‘yuman rights’ and prissy Canada is about to get away with this?  Note the USA has been doing this for years, plus the Australians are sensible enough to not let them within a thousand miles of the mainland in the first place!

What a pack of fools govern the UK .  I shall have to revise my opinions of Canada if they actually have the guts to go through with this.

Catalunya Rising

The pro-Independence Convergència i Unió (CiU) party fared badly at the Catalan election yesterday. Losing twelve seats it failed to win an absolute majority in the Catalan parliament. Spain’s Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, eager to keep the whole of Spain intact, toasted this ole result with the claim that “this was a slap in the face for Catalan independence”.

Rajoy’s dancing in the end zone might be short lived. Almost two thirds of the seats went to parties that back a referendum on independence. The CiU could join forces with minority parties to form a coalition that keeps the momentum for change on the agenda. Continue reading “Catalunya Rising”
