The sky at night

Angels and seraphs? What the fuck,

I’d rather see a flying duck

or skein of geese in squadron flight

I’m not a one for black of night.

I’d like to see the night in colour,

less twinkling Mozart, more Fats Waller,

and glowing ships with seven sails,

fluorescent fish with flashing tails.
