Do come and look at my new post and leave a comment on my page. This is a fragment to give you a sneak preview! But if someone could tell me what I should be doing to make the cropped bits from the main photo in focus I’d be grateful.

Lovely, Isobel. Will definitely take a look, after school today x
Looks interesting.
Hmmmmmm I’m not sure I should.
Mummy always told me never to go anywhere with strange women. This is creepy and smacks of “hello little boy would you like to see some puppies”.
Bearsy, does this site have a PANIC button? 🙂
Indeed it does, Furry Ears.
It says “Delete Blog” and is only accessible to Administrators. 😈
Oops Bearsy,
Forgive me for assuming this was a global story, its currently big news in the UK.

Hi chaps.
I just updated as I hadn’t been clear about why it was out of focus! I still need your advice.
i can’t even open the site.
If the link won’t work for you try clicking on my name on the blogroll. That may work. 😉
Ferret – should that change my answer? Sorry, I don’t see the relevance.
yes. that works
Good-o. Just seen you there.
Bearsy it’s a panic button for when adults try to interact inappropriately with kids. Lots of news about it here at the moment. Ferret was making a joke about me trying to lead him away somewhere. At least, I think that’s what it was about! SYL.
I&C,
Exactly, I was making a funny. They are never any good if you have to explain the punchline. 🙂
Absolutely useless – we knew nothing about it! Although, having read the article, I do wonder what it’s got to do with Facebook… As far as I’m concerned the ultimate ‘Panic Button’ has to be the little X in the right hand corner…
So, Ferret, were the puppies any good?
Boa,
Its another knee jerk PC reaction to a very sad and avoidable incident.
Instead of closing the stable door after dobbin has done one, they should simply have offed the pervert on one of his previous visits at HMs pleasure.
Actually this is rapidly careering off topic, I’ll shut up now. 🙂
OK! Ferret… I’ll disappear 🙂
Brendano,
She lured me there on false pretences.
There were no puppies just a load of bits of broken glass and a crazy woman with a cat asking me if I get blurry if I zoom in a lot.
The whole experience was emotionally harrowing and I would rather not speak of it.
Isobel. I took this with a macro setting from a about 8 feet away. I was able to zoom later as close as this before losing too much clarity, any further and it would have blurred. You need a steady hand or tripod for best results. Don’t worry, your talent with mosaics shows through anyway.
Ooooops and crikey, you see the damn dust on the top too, shame on me 😉
Oh poor you Ferret, it sounds traumatic. Who was she? Do you have any idea? I hpoe you have recovered now. Sweet dreams.
Val i’ve tried two photos with the macro setting which I have posted above. what I really need to do is photograph the same subject from a variety of distances and using the zoom and see how it works. Thanks for your help. (What dust? I’m knee deep in cat fur and paper).
