The boy was the worst klepto for lighters I have ever known. I used to buy them by the box and within a couple of days in his flat one was down to none, lickety split. He used to absent mindedly put them in his desk draw, one could go and frisk it and find a couple of dozen every time. Nick them back and then they would repeat the recirculation within 48 hours!
These days I just check my own handbags, there is always several spare lighters and biros.
