  3. Had this conversation recently with ex squaddies Poppy fascism? The rules, do and don’t do? Keep ’em up all year but it is not good form. Remembrance is carried in the heart not the lapel.

    It’s no surprise that there are some people who want to find fault with a campaign that has ONLY beneficial objectives – like helping veterans and reminding us all of the horrors of war. Such people want to impose their ‘take’ on the idea. Weird.

  6. Do not know if I agree 100% Janus. Recently the Poppy has been used to prop up unpopular wars (Parthia, Afghanistan, Iraq). One needs to ask why UK army dying for “Gas in Nebraska”.
