  1. Happy 2013, FEEG and to Mrs FEEG also. It’s a lovely morning here, 20º and clear blue so I think I might just lope down to The Bar for the first of the year and commiserate with all the hangovers. The NSW was on the twilight shift yesterday so I awoke clear headed at 07.30 after a lonely non-celebration and an early night .

  2. Thanks OZ. Actually, it is a clear sky and bright sunshine here in M25ville as well. Not so warm though! Had a quiet, but suitably lubricated, New Year here.

  3. Reciprocated, I’m sure! New Year here is never quiet, accompanied by an armageddon of fireworks in every garden. No publicly organised events though. Now it’s rain and quite mild.

  4. Happy New Year, FEEG.

I’m not long after a huge fry-up so I’m almost fully recovered from all the malteasers and revelling. The only thing is, and I’m not complaining, I’m off work for a week so the party will be starting again soon.

  5. Happy New Year to FEEG and everyone.

I must confess I have now had enough of celebrations, enjoyable though they have been, and back to normality here tomorrow.

  6. A Good New Year, FEEG and all the best to you and yours.

As you presumably know, we need the two days up here so it is a public holiday today and .nothing returns to anything approaching normality until tomorrow,

I personally had a quiet Ne’erday and went to bed at a respectable and douce 4 am after bringing in the bells in an appropriately restrained Embran manner – I only danced the ‘Strip the Willow’ at the open-air street party held at 1 am by our hosts in deepest Trinity and chose to sit out the ‘Eightsome Reel’.

  7. John:

I hope you had lead weights around the hem of your kilt to avoid any possible embarrassment to fellow celebrants! 🙂
