These fine tradesmen were employed to install cast iron bollards outside East Belfast hospital to prevent
staff from parking on the pavement outside. Just clearing up at the finish of the job!

Going home might cause them a problem though!

Morning JH
Your post needs a title, currently simply sitting on side bar as ‘42580’, any title will do π
Soutie, g’morgen! I see you (and now I) have succeeded in commenting on a non-existent post! Yes! π
MΓ΄re Janus, precisely!
Perhaps that’s the idea, instead of a caption perhaps we should be suggesting titles?
How about ‘Olympic free farce‘ π
‘More Irish bollards’
Morning both,
Ta for info on the stoopid omission π
Y’welcome! π
π π
Maybe one will screw off?
Pseu,
What a nice way of putting it! Probably they both will π
We have to be magnanimous and assume that the one behind the van is removable. On the other hand…… π
And here is the answer according to Snopes
http://www.snopes.com/photos/automobiles/bollards.asp
I don’t know about the Snopes interpretation – those bollards look concreted in place to me π Remember that pic I posted of the ‘taxi rank’ outside the place in Imperial Wharf?
Using the wonders of modern technology, i.e. Google Street View and MS Snipping Tool, I can verify that it is indeed Quay Street Manchester. The bollards do indeed look as if they have been concreted in place, but perhaps they unscrew!
The good news is that the van has been removed.
If you look at this picture on the opposite side of the road, you will see the name of a certain construction company. It is quite feasible I suppose that the same company was involved in both bits of work. Without wishing to cast any aspersions, there does some to be a Hibernian connection with jhleck’s original post.
Now, would you believe I know somebody who married a scion of the firm Perhaps I should find out the truth.
It’s a small world, Sipu π

size matters after all….
How rude! π
