Darling buds of February

Here are two buds which were ready a little too soon, caught by the frost and snow.

No time to lose. No, time to lose. Make time to stand and stare.... Did you see that?

  1. It’s quite extraordinary, Nym, but although we live fairly close, my garden is always behind yours. My tulips are still buried beneath the snow and quite invisible, and no buds on the roses although we do have late blooms which look a little sad at the moment.

  2. the roses have continued flowering through the winter.. they are against a wall. And the tulips are in a tub by my front door. It is strange how different each area is.

  3. My back garden is often behind a lot of other gardens locally, noticeable particularly with the time my delphiniums come out. Open and exposed to wind…..
