The butterfly was intent on the thistle and allowed me to take several photos before flying off. It wasn’t in tip-top condition, and in close up the tip of the wing looks powdery.
I have been looking at nature more over the last few days. It is a very focussing thing, to look at the small details, while not loosing sight of the bigger picture –
– I have been ‘putting the edges back’ in my garden, trimming the hedges: close work, but you have to stand back every now and then to check it’s all still level.

You should start a photographic club in your area Pseu, these are sensational. You would have enjoyed a trip we did last night, to the parrot zoo, apart from good photo opportunities, it was good fun.
