Greetings from Bucharest

And just to let you know that I am plotting to take over this place – according to whacko jako, that is:

Don’t ignore Bravo; or do so at your peril. The guy is a bag of deceit [good grief, in a few months from the head of a large American International Tobacco Company in Moscow, to having his own Team on a Security Contract when the bomb went off and “his contract” ended, a promise of a new contract in Bulgaria but now sitting at the pool in Cyprus where his whole extended family of dozens and dozens of cousins have suddenly been domiciled for generations and taking care of his new found library]; he runs The Club; the others are just his minions.

It may be convenient for him to let you think that it is the other guy because he is struggling in his battle to take the Chariot when Boadicea goes. People have latched onto the real guy; he now gets three to five comments per Post at the Chariot and not a single one in his personal WordPress Site.

That is why he has moved back into MyT, to rebuild his reputation and because he is a useless Blogger on open forums.

So, now you know.

  1. Greetings Bravo! Isn’t it amazing how some peoples’ minds work!

Looking forward to some good photos in insights into life in Bucharest… 🙂

  2. Hi, Bravo.

Having read the reasoned and rational post to which you so kindly posted a link, I am in two minds as to whether or not I should comment in case you get more than ‘three to five comments’, which might only encourage you in your power-crazed attempt to wrest this site from Boadicea.

Didn’t know either until now that you had ‘moved back into MyT….’ Have obviously sent you a friendship request now that I do know.

  3. Completely off-blog, Bravo, as I always avoid confrontation when I can. Are you a Steaua Bucharest, Rapid Bucharest, Dinamo Bucharest or wait for it…Sportul Studentesc supporter? 🙂

  4. Ah, I forgot to mention that I am also a ‘bag of deceit,’ so I am not sitting in my crap apartment, (of which more later, when I move,) in Bucharest – the geography in the whacko jako post is clearly a bit off, since the whacko thinks Bucharest is in Bulgaria – or am I?

Here;s one insight, or thought; I must read some Romanian history. Here I am in the middle of an island of Latins surrounded by a sea of Slavs – and the culture and feel of this city really is Latin; if it wasn’t quite so run-down you could easily imagine yourself in Italy or Spain. I wonder how they survived?

None of the above, I don’t do kiss ball – there is a lively Rugby scene here which I will be dipping into – purely as a spectator, of course, dammit – when the season starts.

  6. Forgot you were a rugger bloke, Bravo, apologies. The world is indeed diverse. 🙂
And I’ve waited ages to say, I am fond of your Karaoke partner. Can you remember what song you were singing?

  7. TR, it does indeed take all sorts.

Karaoke indeed. I’ll have you know I was performing in public with the lady who is a famous, if mature, Cantopop singer. We sang ‘Ming Tian Hui Geng Hao, – Tomorrow can be better – and ‘You don’t bring me flowers,’ plus a few more.

Gaun yersel’ big man, as they say in these parts. Without blowing my trumpet too much, I’m a bit of a hotshot on the mike myself.
“OH PLEEZZEE stay with MEEEEE, DI-ANNNNA. Oh please, DI-ANNA”

Sorry Bravo, I’m getting carried away again. 🙂

  9. Good morning BoB*

I too am looking forward to learning a bit more about Bucharest and Bulgaria**

    * Bravo of Bucharest

    ** Only joking 😉

  10. I do not understand the origins of this dispute, nor do I wish to learn them as it is not my battle to fight. I have never had a problem with either party in this and would prefer to keep it that way. I’ve always managed to get on quite well with Ike, hence the fact that I frequently comment on his blog.

  12. Bravo, as yo certainly know, your Latin island was created by Roman soldiers stationed on the edge of the Empire. Their lingo became today’s Romanian.

  13. Its Ike,

Hes a loon but mostly harmless.

What does surprise me is that you have returned to MyT. I wouldn’t touch that cess pit with a ten foot bargepole and an NBC suit.

    Still, your choice chum.

  14. Anyone like to give a synopsis of the last to weeks, pretty please?

What is this about Boa going? And have we had any news of Bearsy?

  15. Hello Pseu, welcome back

Last week same as the week before, no problems. (Amicus, JM and Johnny joined us)

Boas going nowhere business as usual although still in the UK and not as active, no news on the bear, last we heard he was waiting for an op.

    I’m still here 🙂

  16. Soutie, 😀

Christopher, there is no dispute. I came across this and thought it wa good for a laugh, that’s all. I have not posted any comment on the whacko’s blog, nor do I intend to. As Ferret says, he is a looney tune, but harmless.

Ferret, I have not ‘returned’ to MyT – that is the whacko’s reading. I look at what’s going on and have put up a couple of posts to answer some of the egregious crap that daffy spouts and, my sainted mother forgive me, to have the occasional pop at Brendano. I know you shouldn’t shoot sitting birds, but in his case I’ll make an exception.

Pseu, only in the mind of whacko jako.

  17. Good to be back. Thanks, Soutie for the info.

(You never know what you have missed – but I see have only a day to get a story knocked out for the competition)

  18. PS, Janus, yes, I knew that – my wonder is how the Latin island has survived 🙂 One interesting thing I’ve learned already, that may have some relevance, is that all the older Romanian Orthodox churches have very squat bell-towers – no taller than a tall tree, in fact, so they couldn’t be seen until you were right on top of them.

  19. I will acknowledge that Brendan deserves 95pc of what happens to him. Sometimes people simply go too far, but for the most part he has managed to get on just about everyone’s bad side.
