  1. I wish you fellows could see the Aussie World Cup commercial, it shows the Aussie squad playing soccer against emus, rhinos and crocodiles, with a cheetah for a striker. Awesome commercial.

At least we score a goal in it, it’s all we have left. 😦

Never mind, I can still barrack for Uruguay and the USA 🙂

  2. Soutie might also be interested in a tiny piece of information ….

It appears the German squad had been given the new soccer ball “Three Months” ago by the company that makes them. It was given to them so they could train and get used to it.

Since every world cup gets a new type of ball, ie lighter or heavier, more or less bounce, different types of spin, etc, This gave them a very unfair advantage over all other teams.

But that’s OK, we’re not Irish and shall not be asking for a Replay or a spare place at the finals 🙂

  3. Just you wait, one day we’ll have the Cup in Australia and then …… 😦

And then you will change the road signs to go to your favourite pub rather than the stadium or send dock works in pink tutus running around the pitch.

  5. Tiger snakes in their beds, white pointer sharks in their swimming pools and funnel web spiders in their soccer shoes …… and that’s just for the German squad during training. 🙂

  6. “My thoughts were with our suicide blogger today!” Please can someone explain?

  7. Pseu – They are taking the mickey out of me over a blog I posted when Australia lost 4-0 to Germany, check out the cartoon, it says it all 😦

  8. Morning all 🙂

Ha ha, not to worry Indy you’ve got Ghana next, they were lucky to win their opener against Serbia (1-0 via a penalty)

They’ll still put beach towels everywhere.

  10. “They’ll still put beach towels everywhere.”

That’s ok, Crocs are attracted by bright colors 🙂

That means that the poms will get eaten since they tend to get to the beach towels before us. We have this all planned out, IS.
