  1. Good morning Mr Zen. Ooh yes, nice one. You don’t here of John Denver as much as we should, lovely singer.

  2. zenrules :

Probably because he flew into a mountain!

He crashed into the Pacific Ocean Zen. His body was so mangled that they could only ID him by his fingerprints which the police had on file from a drink driving conviction. I enjoyed his music. Did you ever see the film they made about him?

  3. Oh I love this song.
I’m thinking of using some John Denver songs in my music lessons…the guitar bits sound simple enough for a dunce like me.
    Here’s another one.

  4. Claire2 and Ferret could you include the title and artist beneath your comments for poor old CBunny, who is blocked from u tube? Thanks.

  5. Zen,

Checking him out on Wiki, it would appear that The lyrics to “Rocky Mountain High”, is one of Colorado’s official state songs

    John Denver memorial.

  6. This has given me an idea. I’m going to figure out the chords to this and do it in music tomorrow. Hopefully that will mean they sit down and sing for once…

  7. Aw Ferret; you are a sweetie. That B minor is looking a bit technical for me though!
You don’t have, the rocky mountain one, all about west virginia mountains and whatnot do you…? 🙂

  8. Oh thank you Ferret! I need some new songs to do with them and this will be just the thing 🙂

  9. Very nice singer, lovely voice, oozing all that sweetness and sincerity we Americans are famous for. But I wish he would have gotten a decent hair cut at least once in his career. So annoying. You know how much he paid for those stylings!

  10. Zen. I’d never even heard of that before…a whole new world of songs on here!
But yes, simple is good 🙂
