Late to New Year greetings, as usual. It comes with being Jockish and with the time we need to take to sober up after we have spent the odd moment getting seriously unsober.
Anyhow, 2018 seems to have managed to get here. As, in due course, have I.
So, a Good New Year to all Charioteers, past or present.
Happy memories and lang may all your lums reek!
Happy New Year! At the end of the month, there will be a Burns Night at the parish.
At the ‘end’ of the month? Six days too late, Scots National Poet-wise. Moving on,,Steve Smith just got out. Gaun Moeen and c’mon England. The dream lives on!
And a good New Year to you, CAusT.
As morning dawns, A Guid One to you too, JM.
Alas, our cricket team is stuffed again like the traditional haggis but beaten yet unbowed we soldier on (strains of Rule Britannia…..).
Happy New Year to you, Mr Mac and all other Charioteers. My lum has been reeking a bit recently but the heating engineer fixed it 🙂
Happy New Year, JM, from one more survivor to another, though I will have you know that my lums haven’t reeked for many a lang neep nor tattie.

Lums apart, as Rabbie said:
Then let us pray that come it may,
(As come it will for a’ that,)
That Sense and Worth, o’er a’ the earth,
Shall bear the gree, an’ a’ that.
For a’ that, an’ a’ that,
It’s coming yet for a’ that,
That Man to Man, the world o’er,
Shall brothers be for a’ that.
In other news, following the Aussies assault on our batsmen, they have now sent their ‘flu to ravage us. Give us abreak, brothers!
Janus: So far Dorset is the only part of the UK, outside London, not to suffer a case of Australian ‘flu.
I saw the map, CT. Can you also pick lottery numbers? 🙂
Happy New Year to all – late as it may be.
We don’t have a lum to reek and I suspect that we may be as surprised as you about the Cricket results.
Wishing you a late Happy New Year JM. I have shifted a few washes of Lagavulin this month and shall do so again on the 25th.
JM: It will be on the 27th. We know that Burns Night is the 25th, but we want to make sure that as many people as possible can attend — and volunteer!
