Born to Run Fun in the Sun

The Bruce is 66 years young, that’s about the average age of a Charioteer. Like those said Charioteers there’s life in the old dog yet. Three and a half hour concerts are the norm. It’s a feature of his shows that fans request songs by writing the song title on a piece of cardboard. This makes the set list change every night. He also does cover versions. This keeps the band on its toes.

Warning: The following video contains joy, spontaneity, humour, comradeship and musicianship in this unplanned performance.

I’ve been a fan of “The Bruce” since 1981 and I haven’t let up yet. I may not always agree with his politics but that is not what speaks to me; it is songs like ‘Nebraska’, ‘The River’ and ‘Darkness on the Edge of Town’. I can see “The Bruce” rockin’ strong at 100.

Thank you so much for the warning in the last para. Obviated the necessity of opening the video and experiencing the horror of it all!
I can think of better things to do for three hours especially in silence!

jmount43. You are a regular “liker” of most posts, glad to see your comment. If you ask the management you could also post here.

For me too, it is all about the songs and the lyrics. No place for politics in Rock ‘n Roll.

Magic MrsO. Your first para sums up your Apocalypse Now standpoint toward uploaded videos.

    Sort of something like that!
Plus my love of total silence. Which I admit gets more acute the more I hear Wagner!!!
Gets me off to the Community garden quicker than a flash.
