The Futility

The recent events in Woolwich just go to prove my point about the futility of those extreme security measures aimed at preventing terrorist attacks.

  1. One can be cautious and take practical measures to prevent terror attacks but not all can be stopped. This sort of thing happens so frequently, either at the hands of individuals or groups. I remember a few years ago how one man stabbed a woman at the mall across from the college where I worked/studied because he wanted to know what it felt like to kill someone.

  2. Seeing that the British police are totally bloody useless maybe soldiers should be allowed to carry their side arms and use them.
There is no way I would return to the UK permanently without suitable armaments these days.
Sipu i do not think anybody would actually rely on any of the so called institutions of the UK to do anything these days. Too busy arguing about queers and the likes to bother about their own.

All rather reinforces UKIP’s stance. Time to close the borders and the mosques and start deportation.

  3. I think Christina’s last sentence would be a good “extreme security measure”. Sometimes I even wonder – God help me – whether Idi Amin didn’t have one good idea.

  4. Most dictators have several but then go overboard because of lack of checks and balances!

It is interesting to note that the UK media is doing their damnedest to suppress feedback from the general public and not reporting any anti muslim incidents. The oleaginous nature of the public statements are positively puke making. I think it unhealthy, suppression, however well intentioned, only bottles things up and makes them worse in the end. Keep shaking a bottle of champagne! There appears to be very little freedom of speech or democracy if you are WASP these days in the UK and have an opinion contrary to the accredited PC newspeak!
Personally I doubt such suppression can be maintained by the govt in the long run.
