Cinnamon

I love the smell of cinnamon at midnight.

It’s midnight, just made myself a cup of tea and found this apple crumble tartlet in the breadbin, Thirty seconds in the microwave … …

Mmmmm mmmmm delicious

Enjoy.

(Oops, that ‘enjoy’ bit wasn’t for you but for me, I did ;))

  1. G’morgen, Soutie! I love it too and hope you don’t have indigestion this morning. 🙂

Ha ha, I have a bit of a cast iron stomach, eat and drink anything 🙂

It’s been a cold and wet Friday and Saturday here, with the late kick off of the rugby last night (7.10pm) I needed some internal warming up!

I never get hangovers either, must be in the genes!

  3. I asked because Mrs J served some delicious pastry snacks at 10 pm and this morning I’m paying for my indulgence. The curse of longevity!

  4. The yanks always overdo cinnamon, it becomes quite repellent in quantity. A nice but subtle change is to reduce the cinnamon and add just a touch of allspice too (less than 25% of the total is about right). A far more subtle seasoning but rarely used in ‘shop’ food because cinnamon is far cheaper than allspice.

    janus you have my empathy!
Pastry is on a long list of NEVER to eat in the evening!!!! (Even my own.)
Actually so many things have joined that list its really no wonder that I have lost over 40lb in the last 4 years without dieting. Gall stones are the best diet I know but I wouldn’t recommend it!
    Positively murderous.
