I always thought that guy was so creepy.
What is all this business of media not naming those taken in for questioning? Why the self censorship?
I have never, ever thought that he was remotely creepy in any way. Struck me as a boy who made the best of his talents and who generally contributed to the Sum of Human Happiness, albeit often with a high cheese content.. Particularly fond of ‘Jake the Peg’, myself, He seems to have had nary a whiff of scandal until the Saville imbroglio.
So, I’m waiting for a court case and actual evidence against him before I make up my mind. The same goes for Dave Lee Travis,
I could, as ever, be wrong.
Rolf Harris and talent????
I always thought he must have had the best set of pictures in town!
But then I thought that most of the lot washed up on the shores of the BBC were a seriously weird/creepy/perverted looking bunch. I presumed it was a prerequisite for employment there.
I expect most of you saw these people throughout childhood whereas I never saw a TV before I was 18, the old man did not approve. So I had no acclimatisation to such a bunch of perverts. One always had the problem wondering which orifice where! Didn’t bear thinking about!
Needless to say when I first saw these creeps on a TV in the Common Room at uni I fled screaming! Played bridge and drank instead, much healthier.
I was 30 before we even owned a TV.
Big mistake ever buying one!
Use it mainly to watch movies of which our library here has an excellent stock.
JM and CO, I think old Rolf was a good entertainer (and quite an artsist) and I hope the suspicions are unfounded.
