Eclectic, is that a real word? Probably the first time I have used it. That’s what they were, a small selection but the essence of the year was there. Echos of the Olympics in Ara’s 1948 notice and JM’s golden pillar, a fine piece of building by Pseu. , the artwork, well not my kind of thing, I’m more Gainsborough than van Gogh, but to each her own. Then couple of events by OZ, one tragic and one dramatic (see what I mean about eclectic).
But I’m a sucker for cats and I well remember the untimely demise of Fogo, so does my friend Mr. Mac (short for Machiavelli) he is adult enough to know all about the real world (17 next year) but he needed some comforting when he heard about Fogo and still appreciates a hug now and then.

So the winner, posthumously though it must be, is Fogo, as submitted by OZ.
Well done, a deserving double winner this month, and over to you for the next round.
(Shame about the Sprouts.)

Aw, give me a break, LW, I’m fast running out of special preening spit here! 🙂 Thank you for the honour (honor?) although I suspect that other entries from cherished readers (had they been made) would have pushed me down the list. Anyway, as if I didn’t have enough to do this coming week, not the least of which is cooking Chrstmas lunch for the NSW, I shall do my best to set a piccie comp.
A good looking mog is Mr Mac and I wish him many more years. Those paws have obviously seen off many a rodent, but perhaps his longevity is down to you dropping sprouts under the festive table, hmmm?
OZ
A very fitting winner. Not OZ of course, but the much missed subject of his entry. Well done Fogo, and I suppose credit is most certainly due to the humble lupine wot recorded him for posterity.
Lovely cat, and I’m sure must missed.
Well judged, in my opinion, LW.
Nice moggies, guys! That William Morris foto deserves the win!
PS Life is like a sprout, dontchya think? Peel away the rotten bits and you’re left with some parts you really hate. 😉
I love this picture of the much missed and handsome Fogo. Well done OZ.
Handsome? Oops!
Handsome is good. 🙂
OZ
Of course it is, OZ, I had a moment of word blindness. 🙂
