Another rock video post (well we were due one)

You may have guessed that I wasn’t a private school schoolboy; I’m glad about this, God knows what those luvvies got up to. On one of our non-uniform days (our public school was slighty posh as there was a dress code) at the end of term, pupils were encouraged to bring in some music and it would be hooked up to a player. Somebody brought in a Genesis LP that put us all to sleep. We were awakened by this rocker from the Destroyer album. That was the first time I’d heard this song and I still love it to this day.

GONG. In breaking Metal news, Kiss will be bringing out a new record in October of this year. World tour to follow.

Need I say it. Play it loud.

  1. JW, may I respectfully point out that south of the border (no, not down Mexico way) a ‘public school’ is private. Non- public schools are ‘state schools’. (This is to help other southerners, innit?) 🙂

  7. Good morning, JW. Oh those crazy Southrons! I know that it’s their language so we should thank them for that and not correct them when they get it wrong.

    But isn’t it strange that the rest of us in the English-speaking world use the terms ‘public’ and ‘private’ correctly when it comes to schools?

    Moving on, I realise that improving the Scottish coefficient in European football competitions will be of no personal interest to you for at least three years but ‘easy” is a cheap shot.

    Bring on the Reds! Early season and new manager who seems intent on turning them into Swansea. I need hardly remind you that Scottish sides have a good record against Welsh ones at Anfield.

    Ah, but that is because, originally, public schools were just that. Charities in fact. I don’t know how the change came about.
