How to spend a Sunday afternoon

This chap won first prize

for just lying about and sleeping.

Later we found ourselves at the scene of a crime

which was rather disconcerting. Well, it takes all-sorts in a village

Yesterday we went to a local village ‘open gardens’ event, with 9 locations opening their garden gates to the public, and at the same time a scarecrow competition to add interest.Sadly the day was decidedly chilly: (I had a three layers on, including a sheepskin gilet) even so there was a good turnout. And the reward for traipsing around was the last garden with tea and cakes.

Some gardeners had help in the garden

This gardener’s sense of humour amused me… so I shall have to make a point of going back next year to see what he comes up with

No time to lose. No, time to lose. Make time to stand and stare.... Did you see that?
