Let them eat M&S.

The benefits cap. Bring it on.

Did Mummy drop you off in the Mercedes or the Lexus dear?

This story in the Beeb archive is supposed to highlight the desperate plight of the ordinary, everyday welfare dependant struggling to get by on a mere £30K freebie handout.

Linky Thang

Not your sensational immigrant story of lording it up in a squillion pound mansion but an everyday joe in an ex council semi somewhere in Wales. At first you start to buy the tale and feel sorry for a family who have fallen on hard times, then you read on and think better.

The fact that this sponging waster thinks he is hard done by now and will be ruined by the proposed cap is the perfect indicator of what is wrong with the system and why those brain dead, buffoon bishops and now Milliband should tuck their idiotic teeth in and get behind this.

‘Raymond’ real name witheld because he knows he is taking the urine, is finding it hard to get by on his £582.00 a week social. Out of work because there is no demand for his highly specialised skill “educational software” he has not been able to find a job since 2001. That is a bit like me saying I will only accept a position as a Newcastle Brown Taste Tester and it must be local (I don’t care if the brewery is in Yorkshire) and I will not get out of bed for less than 35 big ones. Here’s an idea Raymondo, retrain or find semi skilled work you idle prick.

Of that weekly wedge his “essentials” are:

£20 to piss up against the wall with his mates.

£15 for his SkySports and Movies package.

£32 for everyone’s mobile phones

£90 on tabs and beer.

Raymondo says, that should the cap come into effect, his family will have to choose between heating or eating because he cannot see any other way to make cuts in his expenditure!!!!!!

There good people is exactly where your taxes are going.

Of course what Raymond means to say is that there is absolutely no way he will be able to find a job which will reward him as handsomely as his dole officer does.

  1. An honours degree at the open university takes 3 – 4 years full time study. This layabout has been spongeing off the rest of us for a decade. Good, innit?

  2. There was a scan of a receipt posted online not too long ago. Using California’s dole card someone was purchasing lobster and prime cuts of beef. I’m still convinced that the Chinese dole system is the best. Too lazy to work, too lazy to eat.

  3. I do think it’s interesting to look at how these people spend our taxes, or what sort of things are regarded as “essentials” by those who are on benefits.

I would have said it was fairly obvious that if this cap comes into effect, how he so does NOT need to choose between heating or eating! The economies are fairly obvious, I would have thought.

Frankly, there is absolutely no incentive for him to find a job, it’s quite absurd.

Fixed that for you, Ferret, in accordance with current politico-speak and other PC bolleaux as heard regularly on Auntie.

    No need for thanks.

  5. Well one way of looking at it is that since fags and booze are taxed so heavily, the more they consume, the more revenue returns to the exchequer. Its a bit like the RBS bonuses. By denying Hester his £1 m pound bonus, the tax man lost out on £500k of revenue.

  6. Ferret :

    But Sipu,

Since we own most of RBS we were spending 1 million to get half back. This way we save 500K.

    Spot on, Furry!
