  1. Well I for one am delighted that this post has appeared.

I consider it bad form that members are encouraged/enticed/asked to vote on ongoing competitions.

As a past winner of both the poetry and photographic competitions I don;t make this statement lightly, judging is an onerous responsibility, one that I have never taken lightly. To allow also rans, riff raff and others a vote should have no bearing whatsoever on the final decision.

Perhaps we need a Grand Adjudicator, you know, somebody (perhaps like me) to impartially judge all entries.

    Just a thought 😉

  2. Pseu:

    I refer you here

    Araminta :

Ahem, why have you excluded LW’s entry from the Packing Room Poll, Bearsy? ;)

    and here

    Bearsy :

    Araminta –

    (a) Please refer in the first instance to LW’s open letter to Ferret.

    Then

    (b) Be advised that LW has thus far omitted to pay his subscription to the “Save the Bears” Fund.

In a despicable attempt to influence the outcome of the December Creative Writing contest, Bearsy has included a poll in the sidebar that unreasonably and unfairly excludes my entry. I appeal to you and other Charioteers who value fairness for your support in correcting this gross injustice. Remember “A vote for me is a vote for Democracy”

  3. I made a point of not looking at the votes, I remain unbiased in any way,

I did however find the whole thing very funny thanks El Dubya and the Bear. 🙂

Soutie, we need a poll to decide that! 🙂
