I remember the original Mad Magazine take on this movie. Sonny got shot at the New Jersey Turnpike for not having the right change. And it wasn’t the horse’s head that ended up in the bed, it was the horse’s arse. It is brilliant film, one of the few movies that one can rewatch every couple of years.
When the film was launched I was in Düsseldorf on a crash German-language course, so I went to see it – dubbed into German naturally. I understood very little of the dialogue but enjoyed the plot!!
