The occasional alerts are intended to bring the help pages to your attention – and we do not appreciate rude comments in response.
While correcting one mistake may take only a few minutes – amending ten errors takes ten times as long. Sometimes we spend over half an hour putting things ‘right’ – and it gets tedious correcting things when we have already spent a great deal of time writing help pages.
We would ask everyone to remember that this site comes free – and it is meant to be fun for us too.
Message for Bearsy – I saw that … you grumpy old sod π
Honestly mate, relax a bit, you’re gonna give yourself a heart attack!
(I’m laughing my head off here)
This is the price we moderators have to pay for doing our jobs, what do you expect? they’re not IT experts, they’re just ordinary people … be glad you don’t have 3000 bloggers, they’d run you rugged π
Sorry – rudeness unintentional!
Donald
If I had 3000 bloggers – I’d leave the country! We’re going anyway on Monday!

Sometimes ‘shorthand’ can seem a bit brusque π
It doesn’t actually hurt, occasionally, to remind people that their ‘one’ error which, to them, is not a hanging offence can seem like one straw too many – and, now, seemed an opportune moment to say so!
“Weβre going anyway on Monday!”
Holidays? What? no invite for Don “your mate”? π
We’re going away on Monday too, Boadicea. Shall I pass your greetings to Vienna, while it awaits your visit?
Wednesday for me.
I shall be off to visit the Wolf. π
I’m going to be in UK for the next three weeks – London mostly, but sidetrips to Wool, Wolverhampton and a couple of other places.
I arrived back from China a few days ago, next week I will fly off to Montana until the end of the month. After that I can relax a bit more before the term starts. I might go to Louisiana in January before heading off to Korea/Japan in March.
Reminds me of a joke.
Be alert
This country needs lerts.
Not sure what this relates to, Bearsy as I have been a little absent, lately: but just to say I appreciate all your efforts. Enjoy your hols
PS. And the Middlesex Sevens π
Bit of a bugger really, living in southern Portugal…..all year round…..the sun and the pool and the boar on the barbie.
Sigh!
OZ
Know what you mean, Oz, we have the same problem here, what with the sand and the surf and the hot temperatures and the …………
it’s enough to put a man to sleep netween the shadow of the palms under a tropical sun π
Wow, that’s livin’! π
Pseu #9 – which reminds me of something else. Many moons ago there were circular beermats in Liverpool pubs with the logo “A Round Tuit” emblazoned thereon. All the laydeez used to give them to their significant others with comments such as “You know I said I wanted (insert a depressingly long list of tasks and chores here) done and you said you’d get around to it? Well now you have one”
Donald – Not advisable to sleep under palm trees. The coconuts fall from a great height and are large, heavy and very, very hard.
