He expected to be dead by 30. Didn’t do too badly!
I went to see them and Cliff in Exeter 60/61. They were a major part of my youth.
I first heard Apache while watching India playing cricket against Kenya in Nairobi. Some ignorant bugger had a boom-box blaring out!
Good call, Toc. He lived for years in Witcombe, Glos. My mum used to sell him cigarettes. He was a nice bloke, apparently. I wonder whether the Cliff and the others will turn up at his funeral?
