Well he certainly didn’t succeed in his aim to “counter negative stereotypes of Muslims”.
I’d say it was a miserable and tragic failure.

It certainly doesn’t sound as if the guy was subject to ‘domestic violence’, but I don’t think that ‘domestic violence’ should be grounds for murder for anyone.
Nor does it seem like he killed his wife in self-defence, while she was attacking him.
I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it!
