I was intrigued but somewhat disturbed to find that most Charioteers thought that the best way to a Wolf’s heart (and vote) was through his stomach.
Whatever gave you that impression?
In order of appearance on the original post we have:-
Bravo – A shot of the last Tasmanian wolf (Sob!) I was much impressed with the jaw articulation on Great Uncle Arthur, but did you take this photo yourself and was it intended as an entry in the Comp?
Pseu – with Wolfie’s lunch. This I like. Alone, vulnerable and not as fleet of foot in snowy conditions as your’s truly.
Araminta – Pony in the shade. A lovely composition which sets the prey subject clearly against the dappled background.
Tocino – Horses ready for bed. Just as I like ’em with forest in the background.
Val – A perfect photo of forest light and shade from the wolf’s viewpoint. I’m sure I have loped down that track.
Low Wattage – Oh drool and slobber! Ahem, an interesting presentation of the perfect porkfest in the forest.
Soutie – Bushmeat is good, very, very good. This I like too. Keeps me on my toes.
And so I have to make a choice. Give me a minute…… (burp). OK Having digested all the entries I declare the winner to be
Drrrrrr!
Araminta – The composition is spectacular with the pony highlighted against the forest. A lovely photograph.
Over to you, Araminta, and thank you to all Charioteers who participated in this one. I’ll be back, as they say.
Help, I’m overwhelmed. I never ever win anything, OZ.
Well, that’s not quite true; you may not know this and it was a bit of a fluke but I won Kate Day’s photo comp on the DT twice! It was early days for the competition and I wouldn’t dream of entering it now, but it was easier when there were only a couple of entries.
Aren’t digital cameras wonderful?
Thanks again, OZ. I’ll er, think of something for the next comp. 🙂
Well done Araminta!
Thank you, Boadicea. 🙂
Bearsy, Help!!
OZ
All sorted. Each reference has a link directly to the appropriate picture.
OZ – read the WordPress support page that I gave you the link for.
I will not correct any further errors of this basic, kindergarten type. If you can’t be bothered to read the support pages, I can’t be bothered to pick up the mess you leave. Fairy nuff?
Well done Ara. That horse does look so of ethereal and is a worthy winner.
Looking forward to your idea for the next compotition
Thank you, Nym.
I’ll have a think about it and as OZ said, I’ll be back!
Bearsy – Furry ’nuff, but please have mercy on a very thick wolf.
OZ
Ja well, we’ll just take our toys and walk off into the sunset (sob!)
Only kidding, well done Oz & Araminta 😉
Many congratulations Araminta, a worthy winner, good on yer.
Ara – I have only clocked the snaps. Your entry is fabulous and magical – a worthy winner – there is something of the picture that transcends its surrounds. Pegasus maybe?
Thanks you, all.
I think the “ethereal” pony deserves the credit, the photographer just got lucky!
Good call. An exceptional pic. Well done Araminta! 😀
Congratulations, Ara. A great photo of the pretty girl. 🙂
