I haven’t really got a thing about people in wheelchairs and mobility buggies but this made me smile.

They can’t touch you for it, apparently but this guy, going about his business, took up virtually the width of his side of the road.
Filmed in Wincanton, Somerset. I just have to admire his independent “sod you lot” spirit.
Like the way he’s wearing a high-vis jacket – as though the carpet doesn’t make him obvious enough!
There’s line about piles somewhere around here. 🙂
Nothing like holding up the traffic, my brother takes his tractor to Ottery St Mary when he wants the bank or shops and drives very slowly just to upset the tourists.
Parks in the middle of the street with it running and never had a ticket yet.
Been doing it for 30 years just to piss them all off.
So you don’t actually need a wheelchair……
LOL Christina!!! *POWER*
I’ve always fancied a JCB myself. Ability to drive at all sorts of speeds. When I had an old beat-up datsun, I was overtaken by a JCB on one occasion.
Had a sneaking yen to try a JCB ever since I read a local newspaper report about a JCB driver who tore the front of a house off with one. I think the lady householder had been a bit hoity-toity and refused to put his sandwich box in her fridge – something irritating like that. Mental note always to be nice to heavy plant drivers.
Janus, sorry, you’ll have to give me another clue…
I think he can be done for causing an obstruction, not as a motoring offence though but in the same way if you have an unlicensed skip on the road.
I have heard of sand pits for adults, where you can go and hire a JCB and charge round a sand pit moving things etc, spousal unit always fancied a go but I have never been able to find one proximate.
Brother now old and cranky refuses to drive a car, he always takes his tractor, even to the pub. The police have the greatest difficulty nicking anyone half pissed in charge of a large tractor, can’t reach the cab for starters!
I wonder if he was planning to lay the carpet when he arrived home?
Maybe Rick. He is as yet “unidentified” but I bet everyone knows who he is. Word will have got around 🙂
Blimey, Tina, I would like to be parked near your brother when he’s squiffily clambering aboard his tractor to trundle home 🙂
I fancy the idea of the JCB play area though. I had a good old wander through the Daylesford, the Bamford’s estate on the Glos/ Oxfordshire border once – but not a JCB in sight! All manicured lawns, manicured thoroughbreds and an immaculate stable yard.
Hi Pseu, well I think we know the width of his living room….
Never mind the JCBs and mobility scooters, I want to try the tank ground somewhere in Wales. Then once I’ve learned to handle the thing,I can break out and head off. Suggestions for targets anyone?
