Today I’ve been having a day of reading. Yesterday I bought some books from one these book stores that open up every so often, they sell new books at knock down prices. I got a book called ‘Speeches that changed the world’, it started life at the outrageous cost of £16.99, but I bought it for £1.00. I also bought a couple of photography books, two recipe books for Christmas presents, an atlas, a couple of books about all the things we knew but didn’t realize we knew, and a couple of others, all brand new and all for £10.00. It makes you wonder who came up with the silly starting prices they had displayed inside the cover.
