He’s going to milk this to try to push through a carbon cap and trade bill that will cripple American industry and businesses, reduce standards of living for American people, and export jobs in ever larger numbers to China, India and other places that are rubbing their hands in glee at the arrant stupidity of Western politicians.

The question is if he can get 1 Republican to break ranks in order to bring the bill to a final vote — there are also questions if he can get all Democrats to side with him as all that needs to happen is if one or two refuse to back down and it won’t even get to a final vote.

President Obama had a new opportunity to take charge last night. His speech was political, and he used the opportunity to create a slush fund to be administered by the holder of an office unknown to the law. Then he went on to sell cap and trade. Never let a crisis go to waste. He’s a Tony Blair understudy. I think the man is incompetent.
