and the first thing that i heard
was a fight outside my window
between two aggressive birds
….
Woke up, it was a Chelsea morning,
And the first thing that I saw,
Was the clouds through open curtains,
and a cockroach on the wall,
grey, off grey and light grey to welcome you,
and a spider full of venom
Now the curtain opens on a portrait of today.
And the streets are paved with passersby,
and pigeons poop and plastic bags and discarded noodle bowls and oh……
…won’t you stay
we’ll put on the day
and talk in past historic tenses
To be fair, it wasn’t too bad this morning, apart from the rain. it was a misty misty morning

Woohoo, very ’60s!
Joni would be proud of you – nice one CPB. 🙂
To be honest, the only Joni Mitchell stuff i really like are “Shadows and Light” and “Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter”
The second shot was great, very mystifying. 🙂
“we’ll put on the day
There’s a sun show every second.”
There is here anyway. Nice one, Dr Bun.
I had a cockroach in my knicker drawer once. It was unnerving.
I check the bed (or berth) on the boat for earwigs before i get into it.
we got poisonous spiders here. they turn your skin blue if they bite.
second shot was taken just outside my flat as i was going into work.
Like a Smurf?
but without the hats and annoying singing
Good afternoon. Nice post.
A little island of palms. Sweet.
Oh good. Wouldn’t it be awful if a spider did this to you?
