Today is the day that the ‘pool from hell’ arrives. The children are so excited-they have been up since rediculously early in anticipation and they keep asking me to track it, but I can’t give them any more information than I did originally, that it left Bodmin at 9.30 this morning and shall be here shortly…….grrr kids huh!

All of Talwyn’s friends are rallying around, because I have decreed that if they don’t help they are not going to be able to use it (a slight over exageration, but may as well get all of the free manual labour that we can!). The bottom garden has been cleared of everything, no mean task I can tell you and we are all ready to go-well, rather they are, I am site supervisor for the day, I do not want to get involved with it, oh and the sun is shinning.
Far more exciting to me is I get to see my oldest and dearest friend tomorrow. I haven’t seen him for a year as he lives in London and works in the city as a corporate lawyer. We have know each other since we were 14, so that is 24 years now, blimey, that makes me feel old, and I absoulutely adore him. He is gay, not that that is only what he is and has a wonderful partner, Fernando, who is the head accountant for L’oreal in europe, and they live the most fantastic lifestyle. Paul used to virtually live at my mum’s when we were younger, we have been inseperably close ever since. His mum died a year ago and he hasn’t been able to face coming ‘home’ ever since but he has finally found the courage to do it, which is great news for me!
Fernando gave him an Audi A5 convertible for his birthday last week, so I expect that they are charging down the motorway as I type, loving this sunshine and I get to spend the whole day with him tomorrow. We are going to go out and around the county in his new baby, grab something to eat whilst we are out and I expect that I will get spoilt rotten by my friend all day long. Lovely, lovely days.

I hope the pool does not get a scum of volcanic ash all over it!
Have fun!
Splish, splash, I’d rather have a bath. That’ll keep em quiet Kate.
Hope you get some decent weather for the pool, Kate. Have a lovely day tomorrow!
Sounds great, Kate. Hopefully the wweather should keep up, for once!
Ara, you ok?
I am, thank you, Claire: just replied on Zen’s post!
Yup! Nice to see you here again though 😉
It is up and filling slowly…should be done by this time tomorrow, it holds something like 22,000 litres of water.
It was such a bargain actually-£100 on ebay, yet if you look elsewhere online for the exact same product it retails for nearly £500. Coolies.
