Right now, I’m looking at a report that my collegue has given. Apperantly there are 35,000 British subjects, who own property in Turkey.
I knew some 800 Brits emigrating from UK daily, but I didn’t know Turkey was favoured by them. I’m pleased.
For those of you who have the thought of leaving;
Turkey welcomes you! 🙂
Levent, does it say where the most popular areas are?
Yes it does, Bravo. Antalya, and Muğla.
I know a town who prints the water bill in English. Didim.
Careful, Levent. There will be a flood, and the indigenous people will be swamped. 😉
My local town (village) has the highest percentage of English people in Ireland.
Well in 12 days, I shall temporarily, be one.
Can’t wait.
And that’s just those who own property – I wonder how many more there are?
Brendan, 🙂
Ferret, I think this is not your first ton Turkey? You mentioned Incirlik, before? I hope you enjoy your visit. I’m tempted by the idea of visiting you and Bravo but it seems I will be very busy.
Boadicea, I will look into it.
Naah Levent,
The nearest I have been to Turkish soil is Santorini chum.
Me too, 19th April 🙂
Thanks Levent – now I know what areas to stay away from if I do look at a place there:-)
Of course many who own property there may visit only for holidays.
I had a great holiday in Turkey once … as I’ve mentioned before, Levent.
Mrsoldmovie and I did make a state visit to Turkey once when we flitted across to Northern Cyprus for a day. Wonderful scenery and lovely restaurants and charming people. Tried a barber near the blue line and all was well until he lit a thing that was cross between the Olympic torch and a signal flare and shoved it in my ear, strong smell of singed ear hair and a few expletives from me but no harm done.
I’ve done a bit better than Ferret – I’ve been to Ephesos.
Ok Ferret.
Glad to be of service Bravo. 🙂
Brendan, I know in Didim, more than 5000 actually live.
OMG, I’m glad you liked. Epilation, ancient style. 🙂
Boadicea, We have a pilgrim, here!
It was part of a cruise – Ephesos, Santorini, Mycenae, Florence, Rome, Malta and a couple of other places.
Talk about timing Levent.
I was thinking today, and I know you don’t like personal questions, but is your wife British by any chance?
