I’m off to bed in a sec, but I was just wondering if anyone has had as comment here from someone else on WordPress as opposed to people we already knew from MyT.
When I first posted on MyT I didn’t know a soul. Pretty soon I began to recognise other bloggers, look out for the ones I enjoyed, made comments, got comments back and so on and so forth.
By clicking on the latest blogs bit at the bottom of the dashboard (it moves jolly quickly) I’ve found a few blogs that interest me. I’ve left some comments, but that’s been it. I’m missing the interaction of the old place, but each time I go back there I hate it!

I did see one post adressing JH as a troll which I thought was completely out of order so maybe that’s been deleted by now. I get the feeling the levels of aggression and nastiness are spiralling out of control. It’s like a snakepit.
Why Bilby? Isn’t it what we all did on MyT? Am I missing the point?

Yes, it is what we all did on MyT, Isobel, and very scary it was at first (for me, at least). My pioneering spirit has since shrunk to nothing!

I really hate the usage of “Dark Side and Mothership.” If it wasn’t for MyT, you wouldn’t be here! At the end of the day, you are all still blogging there.
I haven’t blogged there for a couple of weeks. Not sure if I ever shall again. I pop back to see old ‘friends’ such as Brendano, Marya et al who have not joined this page, and leave the odd comment, but almost every time the front page is full of nasty vicious stuff. There’s a lot of abuse and bullying that passes for comment. It’s not fun at the moment. Sure, if it looks up I may go back, but I remember Christopop when I first signed up getting lots of flak from some people on MyT and leaving, so I know it’s been going on for a good while.
Bearsy, why does show up as being edited by you please?
Actually Tocino, who are you on MyT? I don’t recognise your name, but I keep trying to think who likes posting jokes there and failing. I mean I’m failing to remember, not the person, maybe you, failing to post jokes.

On the same theme I have been playing with skins.
Not as rude as it sounds. I now have a personalised blog page, helped by Techie Scholar. Didn’t really like what I looked like before on my own page….now have a photo up. Clever hey? (Well for he non-techies amongst us!)

Isobel – in “your stuff”, the “bearsy” refers to the blog (bearsy.wordpress.com) not to “Bearsy” the user. So when you corrected your spelling mistake, that will have shown up as “bearsy” in that list.
Just now I went into your post to look at the versions information (at the bottom of the edit page) to see if there was a version saved by me. There wasn’t, so I haven’t made any changes.
The next entry is, I guess, where you went in again.
That “your stuff” list is rather misleading, at first.
Please rest assured that I haven’t been meddling! 😀

To answer Isobel, yes we have had comments from a WordPress blogger, Darrel Kirby. Unfortunately, initially, his presence stirred a certain amount of suspicion but he has been back since so it can’t have been too off-putting. 🙂
