So it looks that Australia has hung its parliament, much like Britain. Perhaps they were hoping for a “hanged” parliament, instead?

Mum was an only child, but Dad had four brothers and sisters, so perhaps Grandma wasn’t always the starch-stiff Victorian matriarch she appeared to her grandchildren, sitting in that high-backed wooden chair with the thin, knitted cushion and smelling of camphor and violets as the big clock on the mantlepiece loudly ticked away the long years of her widowhood.

The Roadwork’s on the M8 have been causing traffic chaos for over four years now. It looks like what began as a four week detail has turned into a job for life. Soutie wants links and I’ll give him links. Hear, Hear and here.
At night at least one part of the motorway is closed and long diversions are in place. To my independent eye there doesn’t seem to be a lot of work going on. There are a lot of yellow jacketed guys hanging about and maybe one guy digging. Steamrollers stand idle, not even idling.
