Nicky the Fish has been arrested. What will come of this is anyone’s guess, but it’s refreshing that she has at very least been held to account — at least to a degree. At any rate, it’s not a good look. Alex Salmond and Nichola Sturgeon were the SNP’s big beasts. There was the possibility of having a reasonable, pragmatic leader after her resignation, but the SNP chose someone utterly useless. Now, with an ever-growing scandal that is going all the way to the top at a time when Scotland is suffering after years of chronic mismanagement, it’s hard to see a way out for the SNP.
I think the SNP needs to get rid of the Greens, imported merely to give the Nats a slim majority and as useless as Humza. Then they need a good spring clean of the whole hopeless bunch. I hope Scotland will have learned its lesson. Ayr Academy needs to find someone else for its prizegiving.
Sheona: It will be hard to get rid of the Greens. They rely too heavily on them, especially since they have not been guaranteed a majority at Holyrood. The Greens have enabled their worst stupidity and allowed them to pull all sorts of stunts in order to distract from their mounting failures.
Great News! Only overshadowed, slightly, by Orstraya beating the Indians to win the WTC final by over 200 runs. A good indicator of the Ashes result to come . . . ? 😎
Mr Bear: Meh, जयहिंद — Jai Hind. (Long live India)
So Sturgeon now says she would never do anything to harm the country. Can someone get into her thick head that that’s exactly what she and the SNP have been doing for the last few years. Scotland is in dire straits.
Sheona: It’s strange how so many people like Nicky the Fish, etc. utterly destroy the places they supposedly govern but claim to love them when they get caught. There is hardly a Scot who thinks that things are better in Scotland now than they were 20 years ago. There was a time when Scots enlisting in the military would be exempt from literacy tests because Scottish education was so good. Now, Scotland has the worst education in the UK. Scotland has some of the worst poverty, Europe’s worst drugs problem. This all happened under the SNP. I really, really hope that Scotland gets over the SNP and moves on.
Yes, Christopher, you’re right that it is really odd that so many people like Sturgeon. It’s even odder that some SNP idiots have even sent her flowers to console her for being arrested. Did they wrap them in £50 notes or perhaps a motor home? The SNP really seems to enjoy wasting taxpayers cash.
Sheona: Only £50 notes? Surely they’d insist on proper, Scottish £100 notes! You’ll forgive me for never quite being able to understand Celts. The Scots have always struck me as being intelligent, practical, sensible, down-to-earth and intellectually sound people. Most Scots I’ve known have been just that. The Irish, too, are intelligent and capable people — yet Scotland and Ireland have accepted the worst governments in recent years. If anything, Ireland seems to be even worse as it’s quite likely that they’ll have Sinn Fein lead their next government. The mind boggles.
The Scottish Greens – though not entirely Scottish – have distinguished themselves once again by sulking and refusing to go to the ceremony for King Charles. Lorna Slater, the Canadian one, is apparently in charge of green matters. Does she deal with lawns? Probably the most useful thing she could do apart from resigning. I hope that my fellow countrymen will get rid of these characters at the next election. They ought to get rid of anyone appointed by Sturgeon, starting with Useless.
Sheona: The SNP had three options. One was useless (Yousaf), one was utterly useless (Regan) and one at least had a functional brain (Forbes). Obviously, the useless candidates won by a landslide. The SNP are absolutely, utterly out of touch — and not only with reality.
The Greens are bizarre, but then, they usually are. It’s as if they are the left fringe of the SNP that are so out of it that even the SNP can’t accept them fully.
