As Backside anticipated (he’s good at that), the Diana saga is not yet over, despite the predominance of fat ladies (and gentlemen) singing far too soon.
Would you be surprised if an SAS unit had been ordered to sort out the little problem of Diana consorting with the son of a rich, Arab persona non grata? Are you surprised to learn that Big Ears has his own ‘placements’ among the staff of several Ministries?
Yes, of course, but the facts might yet shake your convictions.

Chuck, to me, comes across as an amiable bumbler who needs to sharpen up his act pronto if he is to be a worthy successor to his Mum. I would also be heartbroken if a unit of the British Army had been instructed to ‘take out’ a Princess of the Realm. There again, I would put absolutely nothing past something like Tony Bleuughh and his acolytes. Pass the sick bag, Alice, and a bottle of bleach for my eyes.
OZ
OZ: I doubt the POW can improve his game at this late date, he seems a lot more stuck in his rut than HMQ who is still more than capable of dealing with what Parliament continues to call “leaders” year after year.
“He rose without a trace” David Niven, I think, speaking of another upcoming star.
The late Diana joins a long list, about whom the jury will always be out, Abe Lincoln, JFK, MLK, Howard Hughes, the Princes in the Tower.
LW- Agreed. I really don’t fancy Charles III. Better William, but it will never happen IMO.
OZ
OZ: the problem with going directly from Elizabeth II to William V is that it requires 16 parliaments to pass acts allowing it. The Prince of Wales will not be anything like his mother, but he will also be short-lived considering his age and is relative poor health along with his mother’s health. I see him as a poor man’s Edward VII.
Never mind the Arabian persona-non-grata Hugh,
What about the real elephant in the room? Prince Harry, the illicit product of a game or several of “hide the sausage” between the Peoples Princess and …. well defo not Chaz and that’s fer certain. 🙂
Furry, How’s about this then? 🙂

I think the PoW should stickl to Charles for his regnal name and break the curse – or maybe just have a very short reign.
Or both! Yes! 🙂
I don’t understand the problem you all have with Charles. I don’t!
Sheona – I’ve always reckoned he won’t take the name Charles when the time comes. He has a variety of names to choose from (Charles Philip Arthur or George).
Boa, so it must be George VII the. Philip is Spanish, Arthur is Camelot. 😉
Probably!
Hey I have no beef with ol’ wing nut!
I feel sorry for him, his trophy missus couldn’t keep her knees together so second time around he played it safe. Now the first thing he cops a royal eyeful of every morning is …..
Neigh…… 🙂
