July Poetry Competition

I was so entranced by the ‘Magic’ theme that I find myself unable to think of an interesting subject for the July poeticals.

Therefore, this month’s competition is open … except for the inclusion of the names of two herbs (they have such beautiful names) and one creature. You may add more herbs and creatures, if you wish, to create a fragrant, poetic casserole.

Any form, length etc.

  7. Mama Mia. Mama Mia. This will keep me amused for a month, Bilby, there’s millions of exotica in there.

    Just above the native girl I can see Big Bird from Sesame Street. I didn’t know he was a peeping Tom. 🙂

  8. I didn’t know that either, JW. Also, If you look to the right of Big Bird, you will find that the third monkey has uncovered his eyes.

    Shocking! 😉

  9. You could be right, Bilby. In fact it looks as if all the animals are staring at the girl. No, hold on a minute I think they are looking past the girl and warily watching something outside the picture. My guess is, judging by the scaly shadows on the leaves, that it’s a stegosaurus.
    Everybody RUN!

  11. Stegs are herbivores. Sheesh, I didn’t know that. No wonder nobody’s running, especially the jaundiced Dalek whose head is next to the sun. 🙂

  12. I believe you are well-versed in your dinosaurs, JW. Anyway, being stomped underfoot is just as painful as the other non-herbal option.
