Beat the winner of European Nations Cup Division 2A in a straight knock-out – Netherlands currently lead the way
Beat the winner of European Nations Cup Division 1B in a straight knock-out – Germany, Ukraine and Poland are possible opponents
Beat the third-place team from European Nations Cup Division 1A in a straight knock-out – Georgia, Romania, Russia and Spain are among the Division 1A sides.
ONLY THEN WOULD CYPRUS QUALIFY FOR THE REPECHAGE COMPETITION
Win a repechage semi-final against a team from Africa, the Americas or Asia.
Win a two-legged final against the other semi-final winner.

Being realistic, I’m sure the guys will fancy themselves against any team from the ENC Division 2 and most of the teams from Division 1. Georgia, Russia and Romania will definitely pose a stiffer challenge.

It’s just that there is life down at the bottom of the pond. Suppose the Moufflons manage this – they would have to extend their unbeaten run to 35 (!) matches – what do they do then? Get slaughtered by one of the big guns and one of the World stage second tier, and probably beaten by the other team(s?) in their pool but…
I remember one HK 7’s when Thailand actually scored agains the ABs. Just imagine having bragging rights on that! It’s what it’s all about, innit? 😀
