Excelsior

Since nobody else seems to be drawing it to our collective attention, I would like to point out that the Chariot is about to roll by  300,000 ‘hits’ on its well-oiled wheels of enjoyable communal blogging.

Congratulations and thanks as always to Boadicea and Bearsy for providing the vehicle and, in harness with Soutie, steering it so well.

By my reckoning, the journey started on or about 24 January 2010, passed 100,000 on 01 October 2010 or thereby and 150,000 on 19 February 2011.

The pace may have slowed but the quality of posts by my fellow Cherished Authors has not diminished one whit. In my opinion.

I enjoy this site immensely. Best wishes to all of those Cherished Authors, both present and past, who have provided that enjoyment. I hope that said past CA’s are still looking in and I wish they would get back on board from time to time.

  1. You beat me to it Mr Mackie. How do we do a cyber ‘group hug’ which is apparently de rigeur these days? For the record, I myself still prefer a polite pawshake or perhaps a genteel bottom-sniff and territorial marking.

  2. I’ll stick to the polite pawshake if that’s OK with you, OZ.

JM, thank you for keeping tabs on our behalf. It is always a pleasure to visit and contribute to the Chariot.

OZ, that’s it! I’m off, never to return. Just had my tea…. 😦

  4. ……however, well said, JM. How can we inspire some of our old mates to return?

If they flounced, let’s have a mutual truth and reconciliation moment. (Or even forgiveness, à la Sipu!) Come back, come back, wherever you are!

  5. Thanks John. I know I have been somewhat laggardly of late – I put it down to chasing builders, electricians, plumbers and other such tradies… !

… and next week, I’m back to the UK for three weeks.

Many thanks to all of you who have supported the site 🙂

  6. 300,000 hits resulting in 60,000 comments on 4,500 posts. Not bad for a venture that will “never attract any users”, according to the Lady who now owns it. 😆
