Hope you have not got a pond in your garden. A friend of mine has, and guess where he drove his ride-on mower the first time he used it! It took us ages to get it out!
No pond but several substantial trees which I’ve managed to avoid (so far)
Enjoy! 🙂
On avoiding trees, on our first deployment to the Suffield training area in Alberta, we quickly learned that there was nothing for miles but more miles. Except for one forlorn stand of trees. After a few days running over as much of the prairie we could reach carrying heavy packs – to get over the jetlag, of course, why else do you think cavalrymen would be doing anything so undignified – we undertook our first navigation exercise/range familiarisation.* Miles and miles and miles of nothing. One stand of trees. Guess what happens next… (Not me, I hasten to add.)
Nice toy, btw 🙂
* The Suffield training area is so big it’s the only land firing range where you can fire armour-piercing warshots. (These days, APFSDS – armour-piercing fin-stabilised discarding sabot, for the technically minded.)
JHL – We have a cherished Charioteer to whom you appear to be a blood brother, one Low Wattage, him of such toys for the boys as a motor launch, tractor, mahoosive 4x4s and sheds.
OZ
Spousal unit had a new toy too a 50″ cut Toro this year which replaced the 40″ that fell apart, literally!
I note the massive roaring speed it can achieve, he can now cut the lawns in one day!
Looks more like Le Mans out of the window.
(Well it keeps him off the streets!)
Oz,
It looks a bit like you might be correct, although I’m into classic sailing (working) boats instead of motor launches and 4×4’s replaced with a 7 seater to accommodate all the issue and their sprogs, prams animals ect.
Christina,
It’s not the speed that counts, you understand. It’s just an essential tool. Although I have just set a new fastest time for the side lawn of 15:24.07 and I didn’t hit the apex of the turn round the mulberry tree quite right so maybe I can…………. 🙂
